Castleton is situated in the heart of the Esk Valley in the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Our cricket ground is located adjacent to the River Esk and is a superb location for enjoying village cricket. Map.

Our Club has been in existence for over 100 years. We are still researching the exact year when it was first formed. We do however have a record of the report in the Whitby Gazette of the Annual Dinner in 1898.

We currently run three teams in local leagues:

- The Eskdale League team plays on a Saturday and the matches are 40 overs per side.

- The Esk Valley Evening League team plays on a Wednesday evening and the matches are 20 overs per side.

- The Whitby Junior League team plays on a Sunday evening and the matches are again 20 overs per side.
